White Bear Sailing School will engage in such activities that foster the knowledge,
practice and the art of sailing at White Bear Lake among the youth and their families,
 both as a current and a lifelong activity.

Welcome to White Bear Sailing School Summer 2009

Youth Classes:  We are proud to provide for our students Optimist and Vanguard Club 420 fleets.  Classes allow youth to progress in their sailing skills from the basics of boat handling in the Beginner classes to more focused skills  and drills teaching boat speed and handling in the Intermediate /Advanced sessions.

Adult/Family Classes: are offered in the evening.  These popular classes allow you to enjoy time with your family learning boat handling skills  together.

Youth Race Teams:  Teams are coached to learn racing strategy, tactics and rules along with boat speed skills.  Teams participate each Friday at Twin Cities area lakes in the popular TCYS Regattas and are encourage to participate in other local and regional races.

High School Sailing:  A huge success last fall, WBSS will offer High School Sailing in the spring and fall this season.  We will  start sailing as soon as the ice is off the lake . 7th –12th graders come check out the fun!

 
Catamaran Clinic:  Catamarans and multihulls are among the fastest and most exhilarating sailboats in the world.  Join experienced instructors for an in depth learning experience on these high performance craft. This spring clinic begins April 18th.  Registration Deadline is April 10th!
